Starting October 2025, parties involved in EU industrial property disputes will have the option to resolve their cases through WIPO Mediation, thanks to a new collaboration between the EU Trademark Court in Alicante and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.
We feel truly honored to have been involved in this project from its very beginning. While the success of this collaboration is the result of the dedication and vision of many talented professionals, it has been inspiring to participate, learn, and witness firsthand how this initiative has taken shape.
Special recognition goes to Judge Gustavo Marin of the EU Trademark Court in Alicante and Mr. Ignacio De Castro, Director of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, whose decisive support and leadership have been crucial in driving this project forward.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunity to contribute as our team of registered Mediators, recognized by both the Spanish Ministry of Justice and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. This collaboration represents a new, powerful tool for start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, helping them resolve intellectual property disputes in a more efficient, accessible, and cost-effective way.
It is a privilege to be part of this journey, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have across the Spanish and Europe’s IP landscape.
